Now that my render machine is spitting out frame by frame, I had some time to work on the movie poster for Ara’s Tale.
Enjoy and spread it !
UPDATE (15.3.2012): I have now added a link to the high res version of the poster.

Looks great. I love the relative scale of the figure to the backdrop. Looking forward to seeing the film.
AWESOME!
Love it.
😀 It migth be gread if you are abel to Publish a big Poster
Do you mean to upload a highres image or to provide real printed posters ?
A highres version is easy ( as I already have it here at 2480×3500 ). A printed version would require quite some additional infrastructure, whic I do not have (yet) 🙂
sorry the 2480 3500 will do 😀
The post is now updated with a link to the high res version.
Have fun ( and do not look too close for all those little errors 😉 )
Thx 😀
how is the render progress???
Render progress is very good. I recognized, that my estimate was a bit too low, but the render process is running smoothly. Overall rendering time will be 350 hrs and I have already done 150hrs so far.
The footage in 1080p is a real eye catcher 🙂
I almost cried! good job!
I made a bit of recalkulation… in about 2 days its finished am I right (hope nothing crashed)
or knows Sebastian samthing more?
My initial estimate of was too low. The corrected estimate is now a total of 350hrs. But due to some bugs in some of the shots, I am now at roughly 1/2 of the whole movie.
The most complex shot just finished rendering and this shot alone (632 frames) needed 51 hrs and produced 212GB of raw data.
So it is safe to assume another 2 weeks before the movie is rendered.
And I guess Sebastian was just referring to the movie poster …
